ROOF CONVERSIONS
Carrying out a roof conversion to your existing property is a great way of providing additional space and accommodation whilst at the same time potentially adding some significant value and equity to your property.
Normally a roof conversion will provide extra living space, bedrooms, en suites, a study or perhaps a playroom for the children – the possibilities are endless.
Often, growing families are faced with the fact that their existing property is no longer large enough and the choice is whether to move, extend or convert. The advantage of converting an unused space is that it can be carried out relatively cheaply, you can continue to live in own Home without the upheaval (and stress) of moving house and as detailed below, you can actually generate some very significant additional equity in your property.
Financially, this type of project, if designed and constructed efficiently, can add some very significant value and equity to your property. For example, we have just recently completed a project in the Harrogate area where the Roof Conversion cost was £165,000 (including VAT) and the sales value of the property increased by just under £300,000. The developed internal floor area of the conversion was 125m2. So, not only did the Client produce an extra 125m2 of living accommodation, but they also increased the equity in the property by almost £135,000!
